I was recently gifted these dwarf statues sculpted by my pal Gray (@agoodblt), who I met at last year's Under the Dice Fest. She's got a really cool home-brew ttrpg project called "The Living Lakes" that these dwarf grave markers are a part of.
Gray's letter accompanying these guys suggested using them for terrain, so I put together a small tree cluster on a XPS hill for them to sit under. I've been saving these dried stalks from sedum flowers for a while now, and I think they work very well as dead trees. I don't think they will survive the harsh environment of tabletop gaming in the long term, though.
Gray's lore for these grave stones also mentions some birdhouses, so I made two to hang from the trees above them from coffee stirrers and brass rod.
This was a fun little two day build to take a break from some of the bigger hobby projects I have on my plate right now. I highly recommend reading the rest of Gray's lore for The Living Lakes over on her blog!
